There’s another switch for a fan boost and general fan, another switch and timer for towel rail only (if you want to dry your towels without heating on)

It has a switch under it but no light or noise when I turn it on.

So what can it be?!!

Looks like a neon light with the bulb gone?

Is that not just the fuse? Needs to be switched on for any of it to work

Is it a heater, so your cupboard can be an airing cupboard? The cover looks heater-ish to me.

Does it heat up? Is it a cupboard heater?

Looks like an oil filled heater. Strange to have in a new build.

It’s a cockroach trap, they crawl in the little holes. You obviously have a lot of cockroaches,,,

Sorry i thought you were asking about the switch to start with. It looks like a heater. Might turn the cupboard into an airing cupboard in the absence of a hot water cylinder

There’s a dude board in the cupboard already

It's a tubular heater

My DD had an airing cupboard heater that looked like that it just gave off a gentle heat.

Def a heater so you can use the cupboard as an airing cupboard. We had one of these in our old house which was a new build and I don’t think I ever switched it on in the 10 years we lived there.

Insect killer? Was your house built of the site of a butcher's shop?

I have got one of those and don’t know what it is. I assumed it was a heater but it doesn’t get hot!

We had one of those in a new build. It was a heater to turn the cupboard into an airing cupboard. I never used it as it was the only storage in the flat so was used to store things that didn’t want warming! I did wonder where the damp would go...

I have similar in my bathroom cupboards. 1960s build. Mine are heaters, the bar glowsorangey red. Never use them as my bathroom is damp and has had leaks from flat upstairs.

I have one in my new build. The only other thing in the cupboard is a massive boiler, so there in no room for any shelves Confused
