Tennis court cost

Hello

Always fancied our own tennis court. Anyone built one in their garden? How long did it take and, most importantly, how much did it cost?

To pre-empt some practical queries, we have a massive garden and some of our neighbours have them already so don't anticipate planning issues.

Maybe get a quote from a landscape gardener or someone in your area? Or ask neighbours?

It's a decent idea if you a) have the garden space and b) enjoy tennis and c) can afford it.

Thanks Choco. It'd be helpful to have a rough understanding of costs first to see if the idea is a go-er. Or not. Are we talking £10k or £30k, for instance? I really have no idea!

We have an old one that needs resurfacing £35K we were quoted. It's being dug up and we are having a beautiful traditional walled kitchen garden instead.

I work at a tennis club, we just had 3 courts resurfaced (artificial grass) very little ground work £72k
You wouldn’t need the standard of grass we have for a home court but the ground work costs a lot

I can imagine that it’s £££ as the work is probably not dissimilar to a driveway with the sub layers and levelling. And over a huge, huge area.
