I need advice.. Or to vent, I'm very torn.. Were ment to be saving to buy a family members house in the area we now live in, it's my hometown.
However we're always going back to a place we lived in 16 years ago. I met my partner when he lived there, we got married there.. He has a long line of history there and it's beautiful with lots of opportunities for the kids when they get older.
Then there's the place we are right now that while we have a huge support network here, it's ugly, there's nothing to do (we're always traveling away from my town to go out) and we're possibly buying a home to stay here.
My DS starts school in September, but we've seen a dream home (to rent) in my DH home town. I'm so torn.. Part of me thinks if we do it now the kids won't have to deal with losing friends, especially if our house buy doesn't happen and its an amazing place for them to grow up in.
The other half is nervous.. I don't drive, I have a new baby and a preschooler. I might be isolated and my family network would be an hour or more away (I visit and walk to see them quite a bit).
Should I suck it up and take the leap? I'm thinking deep down we might never buy this house.. And if we do I'll be stuck here and then what if I'm lonely over an hour away.
