Anyone got a new kitchen?

Any one care to share some pics of their new kitchens? I'm about to upgrade my kitchen and I'm at loss as to what kind of kitchen I would like. Painted vs contemporary, inset vs regular. I'm all pinterested out too.

I'm interested too... but the cost of replacing units and surfaces in our (small galley) is frightening.

We went with very contemporary, minimalist and clean lines - but the kitchen is small and we wanted to do as much as possible to make it feel more spacious.

This is mine, corner & long wall of kitchen and run of narrow utility. I also have a tall larder unit in the kitchen.

DIY Kitchens, Norton sage, walnut effect laminate worktop, walnut-ish LVT flooring, white tiles.

Your kitchen is fabulous too! I naturally gravitate to this type of kitchen actually. The dark worktop finishes it off perfectly.

The price of kitchens is extortionate! I'll need a second mortgage with the price of the worktops alone Grin

I'm looking for a new kitchen too but finding it overwhelming.
@Chasingsquirrels did you order the items yourself or did the kitchen fitter? How did you find a kitchen fitter that did DIY kitchens?

Cuddling57 I measured (and re-measured and measured again) and planned it all myself.
I ordered it direct from DIY, we did have a trip to the showroom as we were staying nearby-ish last year.
I used a builder who I've used for other things, his chippy did the work.
I think he does a lot of Howdens and initially he was all "this is different fittings, this isn't what I'm used to" etc, but he very quickly started saying that x y z was better quality, fitting, whatever than he was used to.
I also got quotes from 2 other fitters (recommendations from friends), one of them also did supply but was happy to do for only.

Chasingsquirrels - your kitchen is fab! Is your cooker a 90cm one? Would you mind sharing what extractor fan you picked? Not to worry if not, I'm just struggling with that decision right now and I have the same set up. Thank you

Got the world's smallest kitchen fitted last year. Need it to be bright and fairly clutter free, think we did ok! Even snuck in a dishwasher.

Lots of clever storage in the cupboards, thanks Ikea.

My dream kitchen! Looks so bright and uplifting, Comtesse!

Did you buy it from one of the main suppliers or is it made by your local kitchen makers?

We got small square kitchen with one small north-facing window. I am thinking with going white or cream colour and handless doors.

user1596468031 yes it's a 90cm cooker - mainly because I wanted symmetry and that was the gap I had!
I haven't actually got an extractor above, it's just a top box. I had a recirculating extractor before and it was just pointless. There is no where to vent an extractor out, due to a conservatory off the kitchen, and I've never had a problem with smells or steam so just didn't bother.

Do you find that you use the extra capacity in your cooker? I’ve been toying with getting a 90cm but can’t decide whether I’d actually use that smaller oven. Can you fit much in it?

Thanks so much for replying. We too have issues with not being able to vent out so I feel your pain. I hadn't even considered not having one so that's a good option to ponder, thank you

Some many beautiful kitchens!! Keep them coming! I'm loving the wood worktops. I was thinking of white granite. Are the wooden worktops durable? I think I'd live in fear of it getting marked.

I've been searching for a year for units I like and just can't find anything.

I've heard horror stories about ikea kitchens, @JorisBonson how did you find them please?

Another one from DIY kitchens. So adaptable as units come in 50mm increments from 100 up, so can be made to look bespoke. Fab choice of finishes too.
Mine is very minimalist being handleless - and because I am untidy I didn't want any unnecessary clutter.
