Kitchen drawers/ cupboard

Hi everyone. Currently drawing up final plans for the new kitchen and cant decide on the final bit.

So far i have 800 width drawers, a 600 width larder and a magic corner storage. This leaves 800mm.
(Yes its the worlds smallest kitchen which is why im trying to be clever with the space)

With the remaining 800mm would you-
Put 2 lots of 400mm drawers in: this gives the option of 3 deep drawers or 4 medium drawers

Put 1 800 drawers in which would be 1 set shallow drawers 2 deep pan drawers

Put 2 400 cupboards in with small drawers

There are plenty of wall cupboards.

My brain has been so frazzled by kitchen planning i can't make a decision on this!!

It depends on what you want to keep there. Have you planned out where you are putting everything? If not, this is really worth doing.

If I had to choose without knowing the contents I would probably go for another 800 set, simply because you can divide them internally if you want, but you can’t make two small drawers into one big one.

I’d also go with the wide drawers. I agree that you can always divide them internally. All my drawers are wide and they’re very comfortable to use.

We have nearly all wide pan drawers in our kitchen. One 800 narrow top, two deep fits all out cutlery, cups, plates and bowls. I love our drawers, so much easier than cupboards.
You would probably get alot less actual storage in 400 wide drawers because of the room the sliders take.

@YorkshireTea86 i would love for all my plates etc to fit in 1 drawer. Do you mean your mugs are in the narrow top?

I'd do 800 wise drawers too as will match the other one.

No mugs are in big drawer between the plates. We got the variera plate holder from ikea for side plates and bowls and the cups sit in between those. You can buy proper blum drawer dividers too.
