Glass splashback in kitchen over PVC wall panel

Hi,

We were thinking of using PVC wall panels in the kitchen behind the sink and on the walls between the worktop and units. Is it OK to put the PVC behind the hob with a glass splashback on top or should we leave it out. In that case we would need to put a steel splashback which we are trying to avoid

Thanks

the glass wouldn't be much of a heat barrier. I think the PVC would get heat damaged sooner or later.

for a few hundred more, relatively low on the scale of kitchen project costs, you can get the whole area behind sink, between worktop and wall units, and the splashback behind the hob, to all be glass which can be colour matched to any shade of your choice.

Thanks, is laminate backboard OK? I suppose its specifically the PVC that is the issue
