Ours went on Rightmove today. Just praying that it sells in these weird times!

Well you have to give us the link!! I sold last week and all went well. Now I'm on the hunt for somewhere to buy, the market in Yorkshire is going mad

Our estate agents are about to take photographs to go up in a few days! We were selling anyway but hopefully this will help us out. The two local similar properties sold within days last month so I'm quite hopeful .

(@Miathewain1 I think you've got the wrong thread... x)

We're trying to move too, our house should be on Rightmove this week. I'm part excited part dreading the hassle and stress!

My pictures are being done on Monday. Heading back down to the south coast...can't wait

Sure it'll be fine, market seems quite buoyant and things are moving quickly. I sold my flat a few weeks ago and it went for over value after three days. DP put his flat on the market on Friday afternoon and it sold yesterday, again for over value. Both were in sought after areas but been keeping an eye on other areas as part of our house hunt and loads are going under offer relatively quickly. We had an offer accepted on a property within two days of it going to market. Everyone seems to be moving very swiftly. Just so relieved we don't need to live as tidy as we have been - not sure I could have handled viewers and constant cleaning much longer.

Yes, we went in the market last week and between last Saturday and this Saturday we have 40 odd viewings booked. It's very intense! I've done more cleaning than I thought was possible. 3 offers so far, when we're through with this round of viewings we'll sell to the highest bidder however much that is because we've already had our offer accepted on the new place. So it won't be long, which I'm very grateful for, because I'm finding it hard to sleep, relax, or think about anything else!

Pepperwand Thu 16-Jul-20 22:02:35

Wow @AltheaVestr1t that's fantastic! Things are certainly moving quickly, two houses we wanted to see have already accepted offers and the ones we are still viewing are having back to back viewings. Our house went on the market today so fingers crossed we get some people through the door but not looking forward to the cleaning!

Can I ask @AltheaVestr1t or @pepperwand where you are roughly?
Outer London/Herts was boiling over but now seems to be calming down again.

Pepperwand Fri 17-Jul-20 07:29:05

@NewHouseNewMe I'm in Oxfordshire/Berkshire borders

whichteaareyou Fri 17-Jul-20 07:34:00

I'm in Bristol FTB and properties are flying off the market!

iamloading Fri 17-Jul-20 08:16:51

We've accepted an offer! In a week exactly. We are in the North West so much quieter than some of you ladies are describing but we are so pleased. It was the lowest we would accept but no chain, so we're just glad to be done!

@Newhousenewme I'm in SW Sheffield, which is always booming, but particularly crackers at the moment!

Pepperwand Fri 17-Jul-20 09:05:21

@iamloading that's brilliant news, congratulations! It must be a relief that it went under offer so quickly.

Pepperwand Fri 17-Jul-20 09:07:45

I was woken up early this morning by a loud banging noise.....it was the for sale sign being hammered in to our front lawn grin. Feels real now!

AltheaVestr1t Tue 21-Jul-20 07:13:15

We're going to best and final offers at noon tomorrow! It's going to be a long old day today!

Pepperwand Tue 21-Jul-20 07:31:07

Good luck @AltheaVestr1t!

We've had one viewing on ours so far, have another one today and then another on Thursday so keeping fingers crossed that they go well.

Shadowboy Tue 21-Jul-20 13:58:11

We went live 2 weeks ago and I think (hope) for a reasonable price but only 3 viewings so far.... pretty gutted really as it’s well presented in my opinion too. Especially when I hear all these houses flying off as sold.

Orangelover Tue 21-Jul-20 15:21:51

I went live on Saturday with my three bed semi in the East Midlands. Never sold a house before - absolutely bricking it. Had 4 viewings so far - 2 were very promising and 2 not so much but all viewers have been lovely. The two today went very well and I'm just waiting to hear feedback. Ahhhhhh the nerves.

billybullshitterz1n Tue 21-Jul-20 22:54:52

Put mine on the market Thursday and accepted an offer today! We are buying a bigger house on the same road as we love the area. Houses are moving very quickly here. Salford area

MilkSweatAndTears Wed 22-Jul-20 07:16:21

We sold in 24 hours for asking price , absolutely can’t believe it and scrambling around trying to find something to buy now !

Not much seems to be coming on the market though , we’re in the East Midlands

AltheaVestr1t Thu 23-Jul-20 01:18:14

Sold mine today after best and finals, 13% over asking price... doing happy dances!!!

Pepperwand Thu 23-Jul-20 07:32:25

Well done everyone who have accepted offers so quickly! We have another viewing at ours today and are viewing a property ourselves this afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get an offer soon.

Just about to take the plunge. Chickened out a month ago, selling family home, only in it 4 years.

My husband passed suddenly nearly 3 tears ago so want to move.

Need to free up some money. Mixed feelings really...
