Re-doing loft room walls

Hi there, I've attached an old sales listing pic hopefully explaining what I'm asking. We have a loft room that has a lot of wasted space in the eaves. We'd like to extend the slope down a couple of feet - has anyone done this and would it be a joiner I'd need? Tia.

Are you positive there is usable space behind? We’ve just had our loft done and I was bickering with the architect about wasted space, but once building began it was clear that I what I had felt would be workable storage (to the extent that on the plans there was so much that I thought I might even be able to create a snug from it) was such a criss cross of trusses and supports it ended up just being plastered over..

Agree. The ceiling height in our loft seemed huge when the work first started but by the end there was so much insulation and additional beams for support, it got a lot smaller.

The space you've marked is very close to the outside wall so it may just not be possible. One assumes there was a reason it was built that way in the first place?

True - thanks for the info. I'll take the drawers out and try and get a look behind.
