Bigger bath or separate shower?

About to move into a property that needs updating. We’ll be ripping out a bathroom and are trying to decide between a bigger bath with waterfall shower (my choice) or a smaller bath only with a separate shower cubicle and small electric shower (DH choice).
We have 2 young ds’s with the older one using a mix of shower and baths and the younger main only bath with the occasional shower. Me and DH never use the bath using only our current separate shower.

What would the preferred choice be for most families? We may sell this property in 5 years time so want to try and keep it sellable.

I'd have a separate shower but only if it's big enough! There's nothing worse than a poky shower cubicle! (I'd also have a shower attachment over the bath too.)

Thanks forgot to add the 3rd option of no bath and a large walk in shower

Large walk in rain shower is bliss. It’s the only thing I’ll miss when we move from our place.

I would keep a bath, I couldn't have managed without a bath for my daughter she used to spend at least an hour playing in it and now she is late teen often spends an hour laying in it.
I am not a bath person so have a shower over the bath.

Big bath with really good shower over it.

Straight bath with fold flat glass side.
Bath tap in middle of bath.
Shower controls outside of bath - so you don’t need to reach into bath and get wet to turn on shower.
Separate hand shower bit to rinse hair, clean bath.

Nothing worse than dark poky cubicle with crappy shower.

We bought the widest bath (800mm) that we could and added a rainfall shower. Didn't want to end up with no bath for selling/small child reasons and no way was I putting up with a crappy electric shower long term.

It's absolutely fine - DP and I only ever have showers and no issue with feeling too small.l (we are not slim!).

I think the bath you choose makes a big difference - many 'wide' ones we looked at actually were quite narrow internally.
