Warm air heating to gas central heating costs?

A house we like have warm air heating by gas (and EPC report suggests a replacement so I assume it is quite old)

We would potentially want to install central gas heating.

Does this involve additional cost such as replastering and redecorating besides the quote of heating system itself? The house is beautifully decorated with built-in shelves etc which is part of the reason we like it. If those need to be ripped apart and redo to the same standard I suspect it will cost quite a bit more...

Would need a little more information on size and location of the old heater but ours will work out to be just over £6000 with the removal of the old unit and installation of the gas central heating. No redecorating needed for ours.

Floors usually need to come up, if you have floor boards then carpets are fine to lift and put back, laminate not so much and would need replacing. Our floors can't come up as underneath is concrete so pipes will run down the walls. Which doesn't look as nice but I would rather have the heating.

Also to note that some of the old air heater units have asbestos which ours did so cost a lot more to remove because we needed to hire specialists to do it.
