Anyone else waiting to exchange?

We were due to exchange around Easter, obviously that hasn’t happened.
Anyone else waiting? Hoping for some news relating to house moves coming soon?!
Any thoughts on what might happen??

Yes. Think it depends on the chain and also, your solicitors.

We are in a chain of 5, so not great, but everyone seems to want to proceed asap. If we can all get removals organised, then I'm hoping we should have an agreed date in the next couple of weeks🤞

We still aren't sure about what to do in terms of the time period between exchange and completion, if any.

We're also waiting. House sold and chain completed back at the start of February. Chain of 3 . Our buyers solicitors closed their conveyancing department when we went into lockdown so that put an end to it progressing until restrictions are lifted.
Our solicitor is working but many of her colleagues have been furloughed and she has extra work load too.
Not entirely sure how much longer it will take when they are allowed to start up again... that is if we even manage to keep the chain together ! The longer this continues the less faith I have that we will get to move . What will be will be Smile

I'm hoping they are allowed to start back up next week with all safety precautions in place of course.

Yes! Our solicitor did everything they could our side.. but the sellers solicitor said the seller wants to put everything on hold for now. There's only us and them in the "chain" so I'm hoping they're not having seconds thoughts. If they pull out this will be the 4th house that has fallen through for us. Can't take much more!!!

Me. Hopefully end of May, everything's signed on both sides and both sets of solicitors are working, land registry and searches and property files all done and my mortgage is approved and ready to draw down. I'm not actually sure what we're waiting for now?

Me, hopefully next week. Two of the properties in a chain of 4 are empty though so should be easier than most.

Good to hear from others in the same position.
Only three in our chain, so worried about our buyers pulling out but everyone happy to sit tight for now.
Really hope things can get going soon.
But how can movers work with safe distancing?

Me!! No idea if it’ll actually happen now.

Has anyone moved yet?
I am so anxious about it all.
Our Estate agents went back to work this week, but getting hold of anyone has been tricky, I guess they are back-logged trying to catch up. The lady we have been dealing with is now on holiday!
No word from our solicitors who were going to get us an update over a week ago (chased again yesterday)
Before all this I could get hold of everyone easily and they were super helpful, now no one will speak to me!
I am worried about our buyers pulling out or reducing their offer (I have no idea of their job situation) they are first time buyers.
Everyone in the chain is invested as will all have solicitors fees to pay and everything is signed and agreed from our side (just waiting on our sellers onward, almost sorted).
I just want someone to tell me it’s all going to be ok!

Oh and our mortgage offer expires end of next month! I don’t know what happens there!

Our move has been pushed back twice now. Hoping for third time lucky.

Our buyers still want to proceed thankfully. A surveyor can now go into our property if it has been unoccupied for three days. We don’t live there at the moment as we moved into rental just prior to lockdown so hopefully things will start moving soon.

It’s so frustrating!
I can see our ‘new house’ from our bedroom window and we drive past every time we go out.
Really hope things get going soon
