Nest - or anything else?!

Getting keys to our new house in October which is all very exciting.

It is oil central heating system with an old boiler we will be looking to renew. We will also be looking to re-wire the house. Looking for tips - Nest / Hive? And order of installation (we would prioritise rewiring before the new boiler)? I assume we would install the thermostats during the rewiring process?
