So is the does the bit to the right with the patio/sun lounger etc belong to the neighbouring house? Perhaps they wanted to create a wildlife garden 😆

They’ve never been out there, have they? Grin

What's that hedge covering?

God, I can't stand curtains that stop at the sill.

The garden is easy to sort with a liberal application of Clinic Ace Grin

I was thinking "oh this is OK, what's OP on about... kitchen's dated, nice dining room wallpaper, someone's made a start on doing it up, hmmm, not sure about the single bed in the middle of the room, reasonable bathroom (but the shower head looks really low!). Wait, what's that out the window... what. the. actual. fuck!"

That poor kid - no wonder he needs someone sitting next to him when he goes to sleep at night. The thought of what's living in the garden right outside his window is probably giving him nightmares!

Love how the house to the left is the total antithesis of this one.

There doesn't appear to be a side passage to the house... all of that crap is going to have to go all the way through the house!

That's not as bad as I was expecting, a couple of hours with an industrial brush cutter and that will all be down to ground level.

It's odd that it just appears to be one species of plant that has been allowed to run rampant, hopefully it's not Japanese Knotweed!

Very strange- and it would put me off completely!

Wow!

Do they not know how gardens work? That it’s a bit of outdoor space that you can go into.

The house doesn't look as though anyone is living there - maybe the owners are abroad?

I wonder if the estate agent advised them to get the garden cleared?

Even if it costs £1000 to clear the garden, I'd guess that the effect on the sale price would be far more.

Looks like some bramble pie is in order.

My garden could easily get like that tbh.

Bet the two neighbours to the sides are counting down the days for someone to move in and sort it out! Can you imagine sitting on that sunlounger next to it, I'd be waiting for all sorts to come crawling out to drag me in!

I'm surprised neither of the neighbours have been spraying weed killer over the fence every month!

Not sure what’s worse the listed gardens house (and kitchen) or the house of the left who has turned theirs into a car park theme. Reckon once cleared the one listed is better.

franke · 12/08/2019 17:13

Isn't there a legal requirement to get rid of Japanese Knotweed? Surely the house is unsellable otherwise. The lower righthand part of the last pic looks like it could be, although a bit fuzzy to be certain.

Report
Tracklements · 12/08/2019 17:22

That doesn't look like Japanese knotweed, it is just brambles - although who knows what else is under there, an air-raid shelter probably.

well they certainly were not gardeners were they but the house itself is actually ok

Wtf is that? I'm a little worried our tenants may have let our garden turn into that. Note to self, contact agent in the morning.

Looks like brambles to me. Bet there's some fat blackberries in there. Btw I love the kitchen. It's so bad it's bang up to date. Half a dozen macramé plant holders hanging from the ceiling & you're away!
