just wondering? we are thinking of selling our house (have two EAs coming round to value tomorrow) and could obviously save a fortune in fees if we did it ourselves...

any stories from personal experience good or bad? pros/cons, tips etc?

thanking you

I have a friend who had a try at it, having said that, she had been working selling property for several years. At the end, she opted to allow some agents to have it in their books to speed the process (they were about to move abroad).

Although most things an agent do are easily done, they have access to more potential buyer than you, on your own, would. The other aspect is advertising, you can pay for it and still save a fortune but a great majority of homebuyers are using rightmove.co.uk as a departing point so you would be a bit "under represented" IMO

aah, so maybe a lower percentage type agent like halfapercent.com might be worth considering, as I think they use those marketing channels
