Blind/window covering for a 3m wide bedroom window

We have an almost 3m wide window in our bedroom. Currently has a snazzy net curtain (inherited from previous owner!) and curtains on a track, but the track is broken and it all looks crap, quite frankly.

I saw those Bloc out blinds which are almost like a perfect fit blind but you fit them into the wall recess around the window so would come down over all the window panels (we'd need 6 of the perfect fit blinds and I don't want that) which I thought would work well but they only go up to 2400mm wide.

Romans can't be made wide enough without great expense (I think). Not keen on vertical blinds at all.

What other options are there? The window is in a dormer so a very tight fit to ceiling/walls, which makes normal curtain poles difficult too! There may be enough room for a roller blind but do they get made that big? I want something that will ideally, keep out most of the light too, so not even sure a roller would be great for that.

I guess we could get better curtains/track, if there are no other options!

What we did do in our old house was have 3 rollers next to each other. In the new house in the one bedroom we have 2 Romans next to each other (left in property)

You can split the window up, but it depends on its formation.
Hence the request for a picture.
A 3m roller blind is not really functional and would have a limited drop.

I've been musing over a similar problem on MN fir a while. There are a few roller blinds you can get for this width, but most online ones don't go wide enough. If you choose a blind without a pattern then some of John Lewis ones can go as wide as 3m even though online it looks like 2m (you need to get someone at the counter to confirm it).

I'm going to do a recess 2.8m roller blind in the blackout fabric and then curtains to help cover the edges, but that's not helpful for you. I still don't like roller blinds though.

The photos I'm taking are too dark around the edge so you can't see how the window sits flush into the dormer, I'll need to try again in a different light.

There's basically no wall space above or to the side of the window though. If that makes sense. Only below (but that's of no relevance!).

That’s what I was going to suggest. There is a slight problem in that the middle blind would have the chain very much on show to the left or right of that blind. It may not be the best look.

You can possibly get two Roman blinds so the chains go at the extreme left and right of each blind. Venetian blinds fold up tight and I think can be attached to the ceiling. Or you could look at Luxaflex. They do concertina blinds and can be blackout if you wish.

Can you curtain off the dormer part so you get the darkness at night and a full view in the day?

We have the pleated honeycomb type of blinds without any strings (so you just push them up.) you would probably need to do one for each window.
I wouldn’t do roman blinds... you will lose the top bit of your view even when they are fully up.
Otherwise I would do shutters but not sure how in the way they would look when fully opened up.
