Overhang on counter seating

Just as its says - if you have an island/breakfast bar with seating what's the overhang on the counter. We were thinking 35 cm but wondering if that's a bit much!

Current one is 250mm. We find we can sit and eat comfortably with that.

Ours is 35 and that makes it comfortable to eat at as well as just sit at.

Mine is 30cm and seems perfect. Could cope with a bit more or less either way but not too much.

We're going for 30 with ours.

I'm having mine done at the moment, the builder said 30 is standard but the size of the worktop etc means I'm going for 34, it looks fine.

300mm let's you use a standard 900 depth worktop but we went for quartz so ours was more like 400, partly because of a pillar but it's nice to have more work top space.
We have a sink on the island, if it's a plain space then it'd be less of an issue

Our sink is on the island too, but the island is L shaped and the seating is away from it.

30cm here too, I have 30cm at each end too so I can have lots of people sit Smile
