Baby in a small 1 bed council flat

So we were planning on moving somewhere bigger before March but our plans and applications have fallen through. It's now looking like we'll need to spend the next few months saving some money; however it means having to stay where we are for the duration.

What are any tips that people have for coping with lack of space in a 1 bed flat?

DS is 5 months and feel like his stuff is taking over to the point where I'm dumping stuff we're not using at that moment (bouncer, changing mat etc) in the bathroom. Any tips?

Are you on the council list for a 2 bed?

We are but our housing association are incredibly unreliable so I'm not sure how long we'll have to stick it out in this place until anything is put in place.

Just wondering about any clever storage tips or habits I can get into that would be helpful? Xx
