5sq meter bathroom
£280 to fit plywood base and Amtico Spacia tiles
£190 tiles
Adhesive £55

Total cost £520

Is this eye watering or reasonable?

Thanks so much

What is the breakdown of the cost of the materials and the fitting?

I recently paid around £340, also for Spacia. My bathroom is smaller, definitely no more than 4m, not sure exactly as it's a weird shape. I have the painters in so can't rummage for the details!
They didn't have to replace all the plywood, and the price included £40 for removal and disposal of old flooring.

That was the breakdown
£190 materials
£55 adhesive
£280 fitting

Ok Maggie sounds reasonable in that case

I’m in the SE

Sorry but both your cost breakdowns don't split out the cost of the ply from the fitting? That said, Amtico is expensive compared to other LVT. Spacia is Amtico's entry level product. You are being charged around £56 per square metre for fitting? That's a lot. We were quoted anywhere between £30 and £40 for fitting for our kitchen floor. That said, a lot of fitters/companies have a minimum fitting charge as smaller rooms can be more fiddly and time-consuming.

Get several quotes. We're going for similar but 66sqm the price varied by by £3k. Honestly for a bathroom I'd go for good quality sheet vinyl, ours looks fantastic

I'm very far from the SE but my flat is a conversion and the bathroom is very awkward. I got quotes from two reliable firms I'd used before and there wasn't much difference.

I had sheet vinyl for many years before and wanted a change, but apart from that the sheet caused me huge waste because of the awkward shape.

Or even sift stone clay? That's what I've got in my bathroom. I absolutely love it!

In a previous lifetime, I worked for a flooring contractor. You can't price bathrooms per square metre really, because they are small and annoyingly fiddly. A fitter will often have to cut round sanitary ware and possibly pipes. What you've been quoted seems reasonable to me.
I had soft stone Amtico in our last home and loved it.
Enjoy.
