American Fridge Side by side doors, or 2 doors & 2 large drawers ?

We are getting a new kitchen and looking for a large fridge.
I've never had an American Style fridge but they look good for the capacity.
I can't decide between what I call the classic style of 2 vertical sections with the doors side by side, or the Fridge with 2 doors and the freezer as wide drawers.

So looking for opinions.
Thanks

When our old two side door fridge freezer broke we replaced it with the drawers one. It has a deli drawer as well. Holds so much more than the two door one. We went for the Samsung one that also does fizzy water. Best thing ever!

We are replacing our side by side with one that has double doors and a big freezer drawer beneath. So much nicer.

We received one with doors side by side with the house we bought & I can honestly say I would never choose this for myself.

Every time you want something out of the drawers or even just a shelf, as well as the drawers, you have to open both doors.

The opening on just one door when it's open isn't wide enough to access the internals.

It also has 3 shelves only which limits what can be put where. The freezer drawers underneath are fantastic but not so great that I wouldn't buy a larder one next time.

I’d prefer the drawer option. The less often needed freezer stuff will be lower down. The fridge stuff you need the most will be at a comfortable level.

We have the big freezer drawer. Much better given the usage ratio of fridge to freezer!

The freezer space in the side by side versions can be quite frustrating, as they are narrower than a standard freezer so it can be awkward to fit stuff in. The freezers with an ice machine/water dispenser are worse, as it takes up so much freezer space. I'm hoping to get one with a big freezer drawer underneath.

We've got a 4 door one - two fridge doors (opening to one wide fridge) at the top, two freezer doors (two freezer compartments) at the bottom. It works brilliantly for us. It looks like this. The full width fridge compartment is great for big serving dishes or large items which I struggled to get into a narrow 'side by side' fridge freezer. I like the smaller freezer drawers behind doors which helps me organise food and keep track of it more easily than one or two vast drawers. I also liked the more symmetrical look of doors rather than drawers on the bottom.

i wasn't that keen on our american fridge freezer as the freezer wasn;t big enough. When we redo our kitchen i'm going to buy a full height fridge and a matching full height freezer to sit side by side.
