Looking for a good deal on fibre broadband - not worried about call packages, but still coming in at nearly £30 a month - is that the going rate these days?

My SIL got it a lot cheaper with plusnet.

plusnet is more than BT! £29.99 for BT, £32.50 for plusnet!

According to //www.moneysupermarket.com unlimited fibre broadband with free evening and weekend mobile calls is £28.99 per month with Plusnet but £24.99 per month without calls.
It does depend where you live though so you would need to do your own comparison search for a more accurate figure.
Have you tried phoning your current broadband provider and asking what they can offer you?
I have done this in the past, though admittedly not for fibre, and have been surprised at the discount they offered when I said I would leave if they couldn't offer me something comparable with the cheapest deal I could find.

Thanks winged - yes, it does depend where you live hence the small little "from" in front of the £24.99!! I don't have a current provider, unfortunately, it's an entirely new account in a new house. But no "new customer" offers out there really either which I find surprising.

I've decided to go with BT, as they throw in the TV on freeview with recording and live pause etc for £3 a month which then solves my TV service problem as we won't go with Sky whatever happens.

Thanks for your replies.

Have a look on MoneySavingExpert as they have the latest deals and offers. I went with BT but through them so I get it for under £30 a month but also get a rebate.
