What off-white to use with F&B stiffkey blue?

The woodwork and ceiling will be brilliant white.

We are thinking of doing 3 walls stiffkey blue, and leaving the wall which faces the windows an off-white colour. It won't be a feature wall, it's just to reflect light and avoid the room feeling too dark.

The room is north-east facing.

Could anyone please share a good off-white or cream that would go well with stiffkey blue? Or share if you see any pitfalls with this plan?

Our kitchen units are stiffkey and Wmbourne White and I think that combination is very successful.

The plan to not stiffkey one wall sounds a bit odd, though. I think that painting all walls will look more elegant. If you want to brighten the wall up, you could consider a mirror or light coloured artwork or furniture. Like it's been done in the rooms in the pics.

I think this should be the link to the colour matching page. colour linky if it isn't we had a sample of Wivet and found it quite harsh - it would depend on your light though. Wimborne White was our go to white in our old house - but is very cream where we live now.

I was going to say EWimborne White if you want F&B or Timeless (Dulux) is very similar - a soft white

The farrow and ball recommendation for stiffkey blue is shadow white.

But they also pair it with All White, Shadow white, Wimborne white, ammonite and borrowed light. Although the borrowed light is more blue.

I’ve got stiffkey on my bedroom walls with Wimborne white on the picture rail and must say it doesn’t look quite right to my eye. I’d go for a crisper white next time. I do love the blue though and it works on all four walls (with white woodwork and white above the picture rails).

Maybe try skimming stone for a contrast wall with the stiff key.

JoJo I fear that too, maybe we need to be braver and do it all navy. Two of the walls will be mostly covered in white furniture and windows anyway. Hmm not sure.

Just go for it. In the last house, our sitting room was east facing, navy, lighter carpet, white sofas etc and it looked light but cosy. As it was an Edwardian property, there was a large bay window that made it light.

We Stiffkey blue on one wall in our study, with the rest of the room in Dulux Cotton White. It's a lovely crisp contrast, and really brings out the chalkiness of the blue wall.

We did our entire hallway a dark navy it looks so elegant and beautiful. The lines have to be very precise though

I used Wivet with Stiffkey. It's a very very pale off white grey.

Decorator downstairs as we speak painting all our walls stiffkey blue in living room. We have all woodwork a pure white. Doesn’t seem to dark yet... we have big windows so let’s alot of light in

‘@JoJoSM2’ what colour did you paint your ceiling please? I’m wanting Stiffkey blue walls, probably a taupe carpet & cream (ish) sofas but really struggling with ceiling. Had thought oxford stone, London stone or Joa’s White but really don’t know!
