Hi everyone.
I'm living in london but am thinking of moving to Bournmouth. I dont really know the area and was wondering if i could get some advice. I don't think i could gp back to living in a village which i did years ago, but do like peace and quiet so need a nice part of town that's got a bit of character, where there isn't much traffic and from where you can cycle to the shops or starbucks etc but you could also easily be out in the countryside for some nice walks if you go in the other directon. Any suggestions?

Westbourne is lovely. Close to the beach and the chines, not too far away from town. Nice little town centre with M&S and some bars, restaurants and shops.

I used to live in Westbourne. It is lovely. There's lots of areas that would fit the bill. Have you looked on rightmove?

Ah yes I do like the bits of Southbound that aren't too Boscombey and near the beach.

Bournemouth is lovely. Westbourne and Southbourne are lovely and close to the beach. There is an area of Bournemouth called Queen's Park which is also lovely.

The Dean Park/Cavendish road area is great too. Avoid being too central and the Lansdowne. Lots of sketchy characters. Parts of Poole are also lovely, Branksome Park being one.

Welcome to Bournemouth; its gorgeous and you will never want to leave.

I live in Muscliff, which I must admit doesn’t have the prettiest houses, but we’re close to lovely river walks, Castlepoint shopping centre and excellent transport links to the rest of Bournemouth. It is also so safe and quiet here. I love Southbourne but the traffic around it can be a nightmare and it’s going a bit downhill generally. Maybe look at Throop village if your budget allows.
