Moving to the city of Gloucester

Hi everyone, my husband and I are looking to move to Gloucester from London with our two kids (one in infants school and one in secondary) as we heard there are good schools there in addition to properties being quite affordable. We both work from home so closeness to work isn't an issue, we are just looking for the best areas in terms of schools and safety, especially that we heard some parts of Gloucester have a high crime rate. Any advise on the best parts of Gloucester would be much appreciated. Thank you
