Glass balcony privacy

Does anyone know if there's a glass frosting type film that can be used on glass outside? We've got a lovely balcony with glass walls. We're 1st floor and our flat overlooks the car park and is right near the entrance doors so everyone walking or driving outside can see us on the balcony and through the sliding doors into the living room. I would like a little bit of privacy and have tried a putting a screen there but it's ended up looking like a beach windbreak. Does anyone know of glass frosting film that's fine for outdoors and ok in rain etc.? Open to any ideas!

Quite honestly - use screening plants! Bamboo in planters does the trick. Opaque glass outside needs to be professionally finished - temporary films just will not last. Obviously you have the sand-blasted finish for ever but plants will probably be cheaper.

Thank you, that's a great idea. I love the swooshing sound you get from bamboo as well. If I wanted opaque glass eventually do they treat the existing glass or would it need replacing?

There are definitely films out there that would be suitable but they'd need refreshing after a few years. I'd also recommend getting a pro to install them. Best bet would probably be contacting local signage companies that do signwriting on vans etc for a quote as they will be able to supply/apply exterior grade films.
