deeds and property help?

DH has inherited a property. We are now trying to transfer the deeds over..has anyone done this themselves that could lend a hand?

If the property is not registered then definitely use a solicitor because they will have to apply for first registration.

I assume you are using a solicitor to do the probate so ask them to arrange the transfer too if it is registered.

The property was owned outright by nan. All deeds are in her sole name. I did the private by myself, it was really straightforward .

Another vote in favour of doing probate yourself, especially in straightforward cases.

Property transfers and registrations is a bridge too far for me, though, we used a solicitor.

I think you can do it yourself, but may need to send the Land Registry proof of identity. Look up the land registry website, they have lots of guidance on there.
It wouldn't cost a lot to get a solicitor to do this though, and might save some hassle.
