Seller's EA not keeping us informed

Just after a bit of advice. We had an offer accepted on a house 2 weeks ago and we were told the seller hadn't yet found anywhere. We are aware it's a marriage break up and didn't want to put any pressure on to the seller at this stressful time for her so haven't chased. We haven't received a memorandum of sale yet and we found out yesterday from the EA selling our house that the seller found somewhere and had an offer accepted at the beginning of last week. We have discovered it's also part of a ridiculously long chain. I thought at the very least her EA should be keeping us informed and also providing us with a memorandum of sale- is that unrealistic?

The sellers agent works for the seller. If the agent is idle there is nothing you can really do. However nothing to stop you putting a note through the sellers door saying how bad the agent is.

I've found that everyone in the house buying/selling process are pretty crap at communication! I've had to chase all of them for everything!

It hands over to solictors, the EA have done their job on behalf of their seller.
