Uneven floor

I have a large and long living room. It was previously 2 rooms which were clearly different levels and we now have a slope where the rooms originally joined.

It's carpeted atm and we'd love to get rid and have laminate but the slope is obviously an issue. We've had a look and it's a concrete/tiled mixture mess.

The lower side is too big a surface for self leveller on our minimal budget so I want to know is there a way to raise it instead? It's not a clean lines so I'm not sure how to go about it or what to use. Any ideas are welcome.

Mine was a small slope but even that was noticeable, I laminated both rooms and used slate mosaic tiles where the wall used to be. The flexibility of the mosaic meant I could even up. Lasted for years only had to lift when we reinstated the wall.
