So we have a kitchen arriving over several deliveries and it's already getting me down. DH is doing the installation when he can basically, he works full time.

Currently we have new small appliances in boxes in our dining area. Large white goods arriving this week.

Feeling a bit claustrophobic atm already so god knows how I'm going to feel.when dining area is full of all this stuff! Actual kitchen does not have a delivery date as yet Hmm so DH doesn't want to start ripping current one to bits yet. This is going to be a long and stressful experience I think!

Anyone else?

Yes we had the units delivered nearly 2 weeks ago, I had 2 weeks off and managed to fit the base units which are really heavy.
The island units one has a faulty drawer so I can't build the island, and the corner wall unit needs some serious surgery before it will fit over the soil stack.
Work tops we haven't ordered yet, and same goes for the appliances.
Turns out a single ring camping stove is all you really need, and the old oven plugged into a socket hanging from the wall. The old sink is balanced on a couple of the old units, trying to do an impression of a kitchen island.
But on the plus side we have quite a big kitchen diner so the mess is quite diffuse... Good luck with yours. The actual fitting is easy, it's the preparation that's time consuming!

Fun fun fun !!! Watching with interest !
Single induction hobs ( from currys or similar type shop) are also useful to have for this time ! ( and as an extra ring when you need it when kitchen fitted )
As are a good network of family or friends who will let you cook at theirs -or better still - feed you and pour you a wine !! Wine

I bought a single induction hob and it is great. I also have an electric pressure cooker. The saving grace has been being able to continue to use the dishwasher whilst all the electrics, plumbing and plastering work has been going on. But it is horrible and there is stuff all over the place. And mess. Lots of it.
