Has anyone purchased white gloss venetian blinds? If so what are your thoughts?And tape or without?

Hi all

I'm currently in the process of having my windows in the bedroom and kitchen area fitted with blinds, it's important to me that the front of the house is uniformed.

Initially I didn't want blinds, but due to neighbours directly opposite and it seeming very intrusive, it's a must.

So I'm planning all white. I've seen gloss wood Venetian blinds 50mm wide slats with tape.

What are your thoughts on the gloss has anyone purchased these and if so how did you fine them?

Would you go tape or without? I've orders a sample and the gloss is nice not over the top shiny, but in terms of cleaning etc.
