Where to go and look at kitchen handles?

We have just ordered a kitchen from DIY Kitchens. White high gloss. We did not order the handles from there as we couldn't decide what we wanted and I want to go and see/feel some. So the plan is to go shopping for handles this weekend but I have no idea where to go! We are in central London if that makes any difference. The only place I can think of is B&Q and Homebase but neither of those inspire me really. Anywhere else we can look?

Thank you! Sadly, that is totally the wrong direction for us. We are living centrally right now (north of the river) and our flat that is being refurbed is in NW London.

Superfront (Swedish online company) has some very stylish handles, the "holy wafer" in untreated brass is a pinterest favourite. I have them on my wardrobes. They look great!

You could try Romanys in Soho, their website isn't much but I remember their amazing Camden Town branch from years ago.

I get stuff from IronmongeryDirect which has a vast range, but AFAIK no showroom.

1,773 products for 'door handles'

A lot of the stuff they sell is also sold by boutique suppliers at higher prices. I suppose you could look for brand names. I suppose for reassurance you could buy one handle before forking out for a dozen and the rest of the door furniture. They do say "Returns - no questions asked"

We had the same handle dilemma after ordering our diy kitchen. I just browsed online and ordered a sample handle to look once I'd shortlisted to 3-4. Some companies are happy to send a free sample out too!

Mind you I wasn't in the market for expensive handles!

Thanks Pigletjohn. That website had the most choice. I ordered three different handles so I can see and feel them before deciding. It's silly really as we ordered tile samples, wooden floor samples, got sample pots of paint. It just never occurred to me to get sample door handles! The cost is minor in the overall cost of the kitchen and refurb and worth it to make the right decision.

We order a lot at work from crofts & assinder. I think they're in Birmingham so might be worth a Google as to where you could see some.

and 2,965 kitchen handles

must be some duplication, I should think.

@pigletjohn, I just wanted to thank you for recommending IronmongeryDirect. I ordered 3 different handles from them to decide. I was able to return all three for a full refund and they sent me a £50 off next order over a certain amount so now I can order the 39 (yes 39!!) handles I chose at a reduced price. Excellent!

Oxford Ironmongery. Look at their website then hit the A40 for a trip to Oxford!

I know you've found your handles now OP but I just thought I'd mention
Franchi. They are kind of like SDS but based in N London (Holloway area iirc). Annoyingly their website is rubbish though.
