Does anyone have composite worktop that isn't Corian or Silestone? If so, how have you found it? There are lots of different ones out there. We were going to have Mistral but were advised against it due to the positioning of a join if we went with it - it's solid and very heavy.

We have quartz that we purchased from a local granite/marble merchant

Thanks, but it's not a composite, is it?

Yes I think it is - Silestone is a brand of quartz.

I looked at a few other quartz brands and dekton. In the end for our current house I went to a local stone merchant to look through the different options they had. We have gone with a compaq picture attached. It was only installed today so can't say anything about how well it's going to hold up but the sample was pretty good when I did red wine/tumeric etc. tests on it.

We had a cheaper plain white quartz in our last house that was the diy kitchens (natural stone surfaces) one that was unbranded which I didn't rate as it stained quite easily.

Have attached a picture because I am very excite about it being in finally!
