Anyone else selling & getting very few viewings?

We've had an offer accepted on a house but no offer on ours yet.

The one we want to buy have given us until the end of March to find a buyer before they put it back on the market. We're grateful for this but I'm so impatient and frustrated as we've only had 5 viewings so far and no more lined up.

Our house needs no work doing to it, is in a great location and is realistically priced (based on what others near us have sold for).
Where are all the buyers?! Is there anything else we should be asking the estate agents?

Anyone else finding the same? I don't want to lose the house we want.

The feedback about the house itself has been good. We had a 2nd viewing at the weekend (got excited!😄) but the husbanf said he wanted 2 downstairs reception rooms. Wouldn't you notice that looking at floor plan before deciding to view?!

It seems the same locally as there are some really nice houses that have been on rightmove for a while. No-one seems to be moving!

5 viewings isn't a bad number. What feedback did you get? You could also post a link for people to help identify potential issues.

Only 5 viewings makes me wonder if it's a pricing issue - could you drop the price so it looks more competitive?

I have the opposite problem of no houses to view!

Wouldn't you notice that looking at floor plan before deciding to view?!

Yeah but until you come see you don't know if the other good points mean its worth comprising on something you want ideally :-)

I think sometimes "we wanted another bedroom" etc is code for "it's just not for us but we have to give a reason that sounds better than that".

We're thinking similar. We're in the lucky position that we're not in a rush to sell but the market seems slowwww around here (North West). Estate agent gave us a very realistic valuation - based on similar houses that have sold recently in our area I think it's a very fair price.

We're on for £200k (ish) in a popular area, very spacious 4-bed (all double size) house bigger than most others in the area, decorated very tastefully (if I do say so myself), EA pics on Rightmove look good.

We've been on for 3 weeks and had 1 viewing. Another was arranged then they had their offer on another house accepted, and we had another arranged for last weekend but they cancelled and wanted to rearrange at the last minute.

We've queried it with our EA who said that the market is just slow at the moment and should pick up soon, no need to reduce the price. Our EA is the best and most highly recommended in our area so no worries there. I just expected more viewings than this, especially in the first few weeks. To make matters worse, the family who viewed seemed extremely keen, asking us loads, spent ages looking around, asked us to look into some planning permission stuff for them etc etc, and since they viewed 2 weeks ago we've heard fuck all.

All I can say is hang in there! March/April/May is supposed to be a popular time.

PJ did your EA ask them for feedback? I wonder if they are waiting on their own property selling?

OP a link would be great (I am nosy) but it does sound like there isn't much else you can do but wait it out

Usually when a house doesn't sell it's price. In fact it's always price. How long has it been on the market?
