Hi All,
My work have tentatively agreed to a transfer up north later this year, which means a move to Lincolnshire. To be in a decent commute to work I'd need to be in LN4 or possibly LN10 but we know very little about the area.

We've lived rurally and been isolated for 15 years so we'd like to be somewhere with a bit of community to it but still pretty quiet and green. We have a 5 year old in mainstream and a 3 year old with profound disabilities so we need to think about a special school that isn't too much of a commute for her. Our budget is 325k and we'd like a 4-bed detached with a big garden, and preferably not a new build.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Hi!
where would you be based?
we moved to Lincolnshire from Spain 2 years ago. We live in ln3, just outside Lincoln and we love it. Lincoln is the perfect place for us as a family, not too big not too small. Always something to do with the kids.
Due to work commitments I travel a lot around north-west lincs, including ,ln4 and ln10, beautiful villages around. If you really need to be in ln4 or ln10 I would probably pick Branston or Nocton just because I like to be as close as possible to Lincoln to be able to do plenty of activities with the kids
can you both drive ? I personally would not choose any of the villages if I didn't have daily access to a car.. that is important. Bus services are not great and you will be limiting your social live.
I think in you case, I would look for a good school that meets your daughters needs and then choose a place to live depending as well on where you would be based
your money will get you a nice house in this area, I bought a 3 bed 3 receptions detached house 6 months ago just under 200k
good luck and let me know if I can help :)
