The floor plan is weird and confusing.

Lovely garden.

The caravan next door ruins the initial impression.

The bedrooms look a bit dull, would maybe look better if the lights were on.

What is an "established" terraced house?!? Can a house be unestablished?

A few thoughts on the photos: get a new front shot without the huge RV and try and make the house look lived in, or totally empty. It's mid way at the mo.

Can you get the caravan cropped out of the picture?

maxandmaxine · 22/02/2017 23:16

Yeah that caravan isn't there any more .. been replaced with a classic car ! (Bit beat up though ).

The classic car would be better but still not gread. I would get it photoshopped out!

I wouldn't even get as far as looking inside as I would be put off by the frontage , it's quite ugly and there is no garden just parking and that is not well defined from the neighbours . The motor home ,would also put me off .

I wonder whether you are realistically priced. This place is very close, has a larger kitchen and an extra bedroom but is cheaper www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-61674983.html

Yes, I would. It looks like a good house. It would be a lot cheaper round here but considering where it is the price looks okay.

Is that how the market is in that area? Seems expensive for what it is. I like the garden but the house is forgettable.

@greentrafficlights that house is abysmal inside. Dark, stinks of curry , terrible decor , kitchen is lit by a strip light only and no natural light. It was a very poor property. The agent was pretty embarrassed.

Oh right, what do you want us to say toyoubas the buyer? If you like it and you have researched prices on the area Then go for it.

I wouldn't buy anything right now. The market will bottom out with Brexit looming.

What is it with these links that magic there way in now! Classic car may be better but I would be concerned what would turn up next . Is established a new word for ex local authority ?

maxandmaxine · 22/02/2017 23:22

The prices are normal for the area unfortunately. The sellers have bought already , and I am a cash buyer so hoping that an offer of slightly less will swing things.

Very pricey! I'm guessing that's the going rate for a three bedroom in Cambridge though.

Ehhhm...I quite like it, yes...but i like a quirky house and live in one myself. However...that garden is either your dream or your nightmare. Is a large garden in your criteria? That's a lot of grass to cut if not.

If you are a cash buyer then hold your horses and wait for the market to plunge

The layout is really confusing. Are there two living rooms?

Report
maxandmaxine · 22/02/2017 23:23

They're all ex council , well some are still council but the majority have been bought privately. The local primary is a stones throw away too. I think the actual house would be a great family home especiall with the garden (in a flat at the moment! ). Does the layout seem ok?

I think it is former local authority housing. Does that matter to you? Also, the second house doesn't have a picture taken from the front at all.

maxandmaxine · 22/02/2017 23:25

I think 1 living and 1 dining (straight off kitchen).
Not in a position to wait around really , as need to buy somewhere ASAP for my mum to move into so I can care for her. It's been long enough coming !

Are you a developer looking to convert it to 2 flats or is it meant to be a home? Personally, I'm not a fan of this type of housing stock and would probably find the garden unnecessarily long (looks like a bare yard now but would cost an awful lot to do up properly as it's so long). I also don't like buying properties with this level of finish inside - I'd want to replace everything to make it nice but equally it isn't that terrible that the price would be low enough to justify a major overhaul.

You really need to make it clearer that the floor plan in the main pictures and the first floorplan when you click on it is for a proposed extension. You should make the first pic you seen on floor plans the existing floorplan.

Also, remove one of the sofas - they're making that room look squished.

Report
gobbelinothewitchescat · 22/02/2017 23:26

But the floor plan shows a living room on ground floor with two bedrooms and a stair case that only seems accessible from the outside and then another living room with open plan kitchen on the first floor. Is it the right floor plan?

As a buyer I don't like the caravan. I do like the parking out front, I do want to park two cars I don't want to lug the mower through the house.

I'm put off by the excessively long corridor garden, it would be wasted on me and Therefore I don't want to pay for it.

The kitchen appears small and the floor plan is baffling.

So on balance you're welcome to it 😃😉 but we're all different so..
