Yes or no to Grey and White kitchen units, tops etc?

Have a few weeks to decide on a new kitchen. Started thinking about white units and wood tops but changed my mind when I saw grey units.

Thinking white tiles, grey bottom unites, white worktop, grey tiles and then white units above maybe

Could potentially be selling in 3-5 years. Would this colour scheme put potentially buyers off? I'm sick of looking at kitchens online!

Sound really nice. I would like that in my house and would defo not put me off buying a house.

Just to what you like. If it's clean and new and anywhere near neutral it'll be fine.

Our old kitchen (which I loved) was sage greeny grey with wood worktops and upstands and purple walls. It sold in a day.

Our kitchen before this one in our old house was sage green and the paint theme ran through the hall, I'd forgotten about that and I loved it.

Looking online it looks like grey units below and white above breaks up the greyness. I'll add a couple of photos from online that I like.

Thanks for the replies, this is the first and last time (I assume) I'll be choosing my own kitchen, so much to decide!

I promise to do before, during and after photos if you all help me out, it can be a MN kitchen Grin

And I very much approve of photos! We're painting our walls at the moment as a temporary fix until we can afford to sort it properly. An envious of your renovations.

Sherlocks if you get a chance in the next couple of weeks and have the time would you mind posting again and letting me know what you have in your kitchen floor colour, units, worktop, sink, everything bar the contents of your fridge Smile

I'm leaning towards grey units at floor level then white on top. White tiles on the floor? Not sure about tile/paint colour? Although I also love the white units all over and grey worktop with grey floor tiles

I have a grey units and white worktops. I chose not to go with any overhead units as I have sufficient space at floor level and I like the way having bare walls opens up the kitchen. I have 3 tall units - f/f, pantry and oven tower. I love mine as it looks really fresh and clean all the time. I keep the worktops clear and I love the effect. I'm not sure if it would suit someone who liked a homelier look. I went with wood effect floor tiles.

Also just to add I have white walls and a white splashback behind my cooker. I also went with a white ceramic sink. I have white laminate worktops with a small upstand (about 4 inches)

phucking that sounds perfect. I hadn't thought about not having overhead units and will have a look and see if it's possible.

We have grey floor units, white quartz work surface, duck egg blue splash back, very pale blue walls and white top units. Looks lovely and we had no problem getting our house under offer when we put it on the market (whether we make it to completion is a whole other issue!!)

We have a mix of grey and white units (no wall units though). I'll try and add a pic :)

Oh wow Lizzim that is a lovely large kitchen. Mine is half the size of that with a separate dining room.

Lots of lovely ideas, thank you
