Yet another grey paint thread...

painting our drawing room, it's big with lots of windows and Georgian so a bit formal, we want it to be a sort of antique/modern mix. Planning on a dark navy velvet sofa and grey walls.

Looked at Charleston Grey and Worsted, which look good if a little scary over the magnolia! Anyone have any experience? I love this look but think I need it a little lighter, or am I being wimpy?

You're being a wimp! Do it - it will look fabulous. Personally, I'd push you to go darker: Down Pipe or similar. It will make everything else really pop. Check out the blog Mad About The House for inspo.

It's a great colour. We're thinking of it for our living room (currently negotiating with dh on how many walls).

Dulux bowler hat from the timeless classics collection is our choice.

Just looked at your colours-worsted would be my choice. I'm not keen on the brown ness of the Charleston grey.

We have a match for Blackened - it's beautiful.

Thanks everyone, i like blackened but wonder if it's a little light.
Down pipe looks almost black in that room, although we're planning on using it in a small hallway. I'm now wavering between Mole's breath and Worsted.
I am not allowing myself to give in to my instinicts and get another gazillion testers!

Try Manor House grey, we've paired it with navy, fuchsia pink, purple & chartreuse green in the living room.

It really takes colour well & is a true grey.
