Full length Curtains - is this deffo brill/really great or awful/terrible idea?

We have some full length pale green velvet curtains that are plain (no pattern) but are fully lined

The thing is they are 230cm long and the window and doors are 220cm in height etc

So should we shorten the curtains?

If so, how much above ground level?

Or should we have them sort of puddled on the floor?

Have you tried the curtains up at a window yet to see what they look like puddled? I like the puddled look but sometimes it just doesn't work depending in the curtains/window.

have them puddled on the floor. I hate curtains that don't reach the floor and hate curtains that barely reach the floor. Your measurements are probably what I would like.

Is that 220 with or without curtain pole?

I would keep them as they are, better for keeping out draughts.

This is measuring the actual curtain from its top to the bottom of actual curtain is 230 cm

It has the sort of thingy for hooks with 3 levels

But the height is close to the ceiling so 220cm

The ceiling is a sloping one with the 220cm being the shortest height

Might be a silly/obvious question, but I take it you're measuring down from the pole and not just from the top of the window?

Put the pole a smidge higher. Have them floor length.

If you take them up, then do it from the TOP. Remove the heading tape and shorten from there.
Do try them at the windows first though.
