woodburner in extension

Has anyone installed a wood burner in the back extension?
If yes, how much did you have to pay? What are the rules in terms of distance between the wall and the wood burner? Ours would be in a corner. We have permission to build one as per our extension plans but are no considering placing the wood stove in another corner of the room so will have to check with neighbours re chimney. Our roof is pitched btw, if that makes a difference.
