What would you do with this corner?

It's for my son's room who is nearly 4.

I'm thinking either box in the pipe and make it into a reading nook with shelves.

Or put a pole up and more shelves and bottom and make into a built in wardrobe.

Any other ideas?

It depends what you need in the room. It's a cute corner. It looks like there is not enough width to turn it into a wardrobe because of the window. What about a fitted desk with shelves above it. If the room can take it a little wooden ladder to reach the shelves.
Or make a click clack track on the wall so his cars or balls can wiz down it.

Box in pipe, have a desk there.

He doesn't really need a desk as doesn't sit still for long. Plus we have a big table downstairs.

How could I turn it into clothes space?

Hm, but if you turn it into a wardrobe doesn't the window intrude into where you'd want to hang the door? You could just put a rail across or have two rails coming up forwards. Look at ikea shallow pax options for inspiration.

We had something similar and we are shelved it down to ground level. The lower shelves had baskets for toys when DC were little - but you could put clothes in them - then we used it all for books and put a small reading chair in front when they were bigger. They'd also do for display of lego models, trophies & moneyboxes etc. I like shelves!

That's a good idea maybe like the kallax shelves. Then put a wardrobe on the other wall. Thanks for the idea and yes you're right the window is in the way completely it's annoying

You could put up coat pegs on the wall to use the space for clothes . I have a row of shaker pegs in both my dc s rooms and find them very useful.
