IKEA cabinet/worktop comparability

This is probably the most specific query ever...

What is the minimum depth required for a worktop compatible with IKEA cabinets?

We are having an IKEA kitchen but all their white laminate worktops are pretty poor - particularly in 38mm depth which we are limited to as this is the only depth compatible with their Belfast sink apparently.

I get 600mm depth won't be enough. IKEA depth is 638mm for Worktops. Howdens do 616mm... would that just about scrape it or do I have to choose one of ikeas poor range (I've not got the budget for quartz)?

Anywhere else do 630mm+ worktops?

Quite a lot of places do 650-670mm worktops - so your kitchen fitter would just take a strip off the back edge to make it work with the IKEA cabinets. I got previous worktops from Duropal here
