Is PLumbworld quality genuinely ok?

I'm researching prices etc to replace two bathrooms. I've read a few threads on here from the past advising who to avoid and who is good.

PLumbworld has been mentioned a few times as being good value for money, but really does seem very cheap.

I'm specifically looking at the Affine bath and the Architeck freestanding bath tap. They seem extraordinarily cheap compared to other mainstream places.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for suppliers of bathroom sinks/vanity units that would be great. I can only find the quite contemporary boxy style units, the traditional pedestal style or the Victorian style heritage type ones. I'm not entirely sure what I want, but not really any of those. Probably up to about £400ish.

Thanks.

their Architekt range is their own budget range.

They also sell better stuff. It doesn't matter much with accessories, but I am very fussy about tap and shower quality

At one time they carried a lot of Aqualisa and Bristan, which are both very good, but they seem to have reduced the lines. I was lucky enough to score some bargains during their stock clearance. I think they have got a better Buyer now.

Thanks piglet. Do you think things like their hydrolux shower enclosures are ok?

I bought an Aqualisa shower and Grohe tap for basin from it and both fine. The rest of the stuff for an ensuite bathroom was bought from Victoria Plumb. Shower enclosure and toilet are fine but the built in vanity units with drawers and cupboards look plasticy and cheap despite not being particularly cheap. Every drawer sticks when pulled. I wouldn't buy from it again. My plumber was against it but he wasnt paying the bills!

Thanks iggily. I had a look at Victoria plum initially but am resisting looking anymore as I've heard such bad things about their customer service if things arrive damaged or break, which seems quite common.
Victorian Plumbing on the other hand looks a bit better, more high end brands etc.
It's a minefield this bathroom buying!

Certainly I find customer service at Plumbworld first-class, and prices good. For example I got a CM907 there a few weeks ago (it has just been superseded by a new model).

Apart from accessories such as toothbrush-holders, and sanitaryware, I would only buy trusted brands, whoever the supplier. So I can't comment on imported taps and the like. This is where cheapness is not a good sign.

I was impressed with soak.com last night. They had lots of things I had seen elsewhere for much more.

I ordered a tap from them recently (Franke) and was pleased with the price/tap/speed to delivery, but they didn't give me any delivery options at all, and the delivery company were rubbish at saying even roughly when delivery would happen. As it turned out I was in, so it was ok, but I hated just being told with no notice that it would be the next day, and they would return it if I wasn't in!

what, Plumbworld? I just had a look at my recent order to check, and it has

Order Tracking
Web Order No xxxxx
Reference Date Ordered Order Status Shipper Delivery Tracking Invoice Total

And "delivery tracking" shows the "your parcel's journey" date and times in and out of depots.

It was next day delivery, anyway.

When ordering, you can choose "standard delivery" or chosen day.

I saw soak.com sleep and I thought they had some good stuff too. But then I think I found some bad reviews of them online and that put me off.
I found a site called plumbingforless which seem good. They have cheap branded goods. I rang them to query something and they were really helpful so I might try them for my showers.

Am still stuck on sinks/vanity units, impossible!!
