Kitchen planning woes

Namechanged as I'm asking people IRL too although I trust MN more

Help please!

I'm trying to plan my kitchen. We're going with diy-kitchens so having to plan it ourselves.

I have a 4000mm wall (Wall A which is an L Shape with Wall B)

My sockets either side are placed symetrically off the centre line of the 4000mm wall.

We're having 2x single under counter ovens with a hob centred to them.

First question - would you notice if the ovens were 20mm off centre?

I'm more worried about noticing it when looking at the sockets nearest the hob.

The 20mm is the gap to the left of the run so it may be slightly smaller as we will start with the corner cupboard to the right.

Second question - would you notice if the unit directly to the left of the ovens was 500mm and the one directly to the right is a 450mm? Both will be pan drawer style fronts.

Next to the 450mm unit will be a 400mm door as part of the corner unit.

Next to the 500mm unit is a 900mm unit so it not really symetrical anyway Hmm

All units are either pan drawers or will be cupboards with a pan drawer style door - diy don't make these in all the sizes I need but they will supply the drawer fronts for us to fashion ourselves (I know that sounds like it will be bodged but the person installing the kitchen is very good).

Many thanks

I can definitely say I would not notice such small discrepancies, think about it, everything else won't be symmetrical so will not be noticeable to the naked eye.

Sorry, unit to right of 450mm one will be 300mm.

Thanks fitzbilly. My DH will be pleased someone agrees with him Grin

I'm not normally one to stress about this sort of thing but we've spent so much time and money on it, I want to get it right.

That's very kind of you, thanks One.

I've swapped the 450mm and 500mm base unit around as, when we marked it out on the wall, the ovens are centred to the wall sockets.

I should have put the wall A sockets on the plan;

-150mm gap-150mm socket-300mm gap-150mm socket-1800mm gap-150mm socket-300mm gap-150mm socket-150mm gap

If that makes any sense Grin

Thanks again One

I think it's unsymmetrical enough not to matter! Go for it!

Thanks! All ordered, hope I've got it all right Confused

I've gone for a 1100mm range so I can fit a 500mm pan drawer unit either side of it as the kitchen place said cutting them down wouldn't have a good finish as the edges are slightly curved.
