Purple sofa - what colour paint for walls?

Looking for some advice/inspiration!

We have bought a very purple sofa for the conservatory. I'm in love!

However, it's such a bold statement I'm now wondering what colour to put on the walls.

For context: we have dark wood flooring and the room is mostly wooden windows (will be painted white). There isn't a great deal of wall space and lots of light. I do have some lovely soft gold colour furnishings that I would like to use (rug/cushions/vase).
What would you choose? I'm thinking along the lines of a pale creamy colour, although DP is very beige/magnolia averse! I'm also worried that the sofa will stick out and look odd, should we use other purpley tones to match?

I gave a purple sofa, one purple feature wall and the others are grey-ish. I'll tell you the colour names in a moment.

My mum's lounge is very similar. She went for a similar shade of purple wallpaper with a white border.

I'd go for a lilac toned grey like Dove Tale by F&B

Cream or grey. Grey more contemporary.

Ooh thank you all!

We currently have a lilac-toned grey throughout the living/dining room and hall (open plan) and was considering taking this through to the conservatory. DP wasn't keen!

I'll get some of the suggested in tester pots :) I love green so liking the idea of a pale olive colour, I'll definitely try that!

LOL luckily DH was the one who picked the sofa so he couldn't argue against it. I quite like the olive green suggestion!

I have a very bright sofa and our walls are cream, with a dark red feature wall.

Mind you, my style is known to be a bit, shall we say, eclectic so not sure I'm the best person to advise!

I have a purple sofa. Three of the walls that are 'busy' ie, windows, doors, are white, exactly the same as the ceiling, the other is a very very pale lilac.
