The Gas Fire in Beckenham

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has used The Gas Fireplace in Beckenham and if so, how were they? Dh has fixed them up to come and fit a couple of fires - but I not convinced they are good. There are only a few reviews available online and they seem dire!
We have been in the shop a few times over the last 10 years but never bought anything as it seemed too expensive. The owners always seemed quite knowledgeable and patient whenever we have been in - so am confused now whether they are good or not and not sure whether I want to go ahead with them or not.
Dh has paid a largish amount up front - so not sure if I even have a real option now.
Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!
