Today is our completion day ! Is there anything we need to do ? Or do we just wait for the laywers to call us and tell us is done ?

Are you moving in today? Have basic tools, Hoover, cleaning stuff, tea and coffee to hand. Once you get the call, collect keys, open door, take meter readings (including water if relevant) and off you go!

Get meter readings today and change the lock barrels - especially important if you aren't going to be living there for a week.

Depending on where you are in any chain, you could complete this morning.

You will need to call your insurers once you have completion to advise them - they may make a change to the policy you should have had since exchange.

Meter readings and call suppliers to take over.get broadband and phone underway. And I would set up a lamp on a timer and go check the place regularly.

Oh, and take the sale board down.

Congatulations!

I just waited for the phone call (came at 12ish) and then went to pick up the keys.

If you are not moving immediately then you don't have to feel panicky and rushed about anything.
