I am a first time buyer and have found a house I really like the look of (still in very initial stages so have not yet viewed it). The house has a good sized garden, and at the bottom of the garden is a brick building advertised as a workshop. There is only a tiny mention of it in the ad, saying the workshop has 3 rooms, double glazing, electricity and plumbing, but that there is no planning. So, can anyone tell me the implications of having a building without planning? Is this something I should steer clear of? The house was last sold in 2009 and the 'workshop' was there at the time, if that makes any difference.
