Dear wise DIYers. We completed on our (hopefully) forever house yesterday. May well have to be forever if the market takes a massive downturn but that's another topic...

Massive hailstorm this afternoon followed by 20 minutes of heavy rain. There is a single glazed conservatory with a corrugated plastic roof. It leaked. In 5 places. The plan was to replace this rather old conservatory/lean to in a couple of years when we save up, but in the meantime we need a quick fix because unless this space is useable pronto then there simply isn't enough space for our stuff!!!!

Any ideas?
Is replacing the ancient plastic roof doable? Or would it be prohibitively expensive?
All suggestions gratefully received.

Can you get Dome transparent silicone and try and plug up the leaks?

Some not dome!

Will suggest that to DH as a temporary measure. Honestly, I could have cried! Moving for the second time in 6 months with 2 under 4 is bad enough!!!

We have a lean to which had a corrugated plastic roof. We replaced it with a corotherm plastic roof. I won't say it was easy but we managed to get it done in a day. We bought the whole kit online www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/browse/roof-sheets/triple.html

Our lean to is small, about 3 meters by 3 meters and the roof and all the tape, fixings, and other stuff cost about £250.

There are videos of how to put the roof up here: www.arielplastics.com/mainframe.aspx?http&&&www.arielplastics.com/products/corotherm/fittings.aspx
