Do you have a heated bathroom mirror?

We are looking into getting a heated bathroom mirror/demister pads on the back of a mirror for our bathroom - we are completely gutting the room so have the opportunity to add in extra wiring etc easily. But, we can't figure out or find out where the wiring for the mirror should be.

Do you have a heated mirror? If so, where is the electrical connection? Is it hidden behind the mirror? And does the mirror stand proud of the wall or sit fairly flat against the wall (like a standard non heated mirror)?

Yes the connection is behind and the mirror stands forward by an inch. It works well. Xx

Yes, we have a cabinet with lights and demister mirrors in our ensuite. I absolutely love it!
It was fitted by the electrician as part of our extension so I presume the connection is directly behind the cabinet. It sits flush with the wall.

Clankboing - do you know what holds the mirror off the wall? Are there raised screws/washers or is it a frame?

Little - whenever we've stayed somewhere with a heated mirror, we've all loved it - I just wish I'd paid attention to how they're fitted!

No, because although we specified in our bathroom design, the designer put in a mirror that was too big (still don't understand that) and only fessed up to he fact she hadn't included the heating element when I called her on it. Similarly only included one shaver socket, when we expressly specified two. It annoys me every time I use our bathroom. That and the fact that we had to have the floor up and re-lay the tiles because it had been badly fitted and leaked through the floorboards.

But I'm more or less over it. Sorry, you should have added a trigger warning Grin

We've just ordered some bathstore mirrors with inbuilt lights and a heat pad. They have painted rims and look lovely. Like a normal mirror.

That's so annoying Paffle I'd be annoyed too. Thankfully, dh is doing most of the work and I'm doing the supervising! 😄

Furbys could you tell me the depth of the mirror and pad when they arrive?
