Ideas to improve bathroom temporarily?

Hi all, I like in an HA house, I moved here 10 months ago. In that time I've recarpeted/floored the entire house, decorated the bedrooms, living room, kitchen and overhauled the garden. The bathroom is old and tired. An old, stained, enamelled bath, old style porcelain sink the toilet tank is old plastic that's turned yellow. I've replaced the loo seat, put some flooring down and emulsioned the walls, I would sign the waiver and have my own suite in but it's due to be upgraded in the next 18 months. Is there anything i can do in the meantime to make it a little less gross? I keep it sparkling clean but it's never looking that way as it's so old. Are tile transfers any good?

If the suite is looking jaundised then if you start glossing up other things it willl just
draw attention to the failing bath suite

Thanks for replying. So riding it out is probably the best option then do you think?

I would go for distracting the eye. Bright bright towels, a nice plant, a funky shower curtain, inviting long pile bath mat or smart wooden duck board. Maybe some of these, not all of them.

I'd repaint and bleach the grout so that it didn't look dirty and yy to new towels. Beyond that, yup, wait it out.
