Multiple velux windows, same size? Does it matter? Opinions please...

I've a large chalet bungalow which is very dark upstairs, so we are having 5 velux windows installed. I've been talking it the builder and had selected them all different sizes, mainly so they are as big as possible for the rooms they are in. I'm now thinking maybe they'd look better from outside if they were all the same size.

Please give me an opinion.

Thank you.

Same size on same side/aspect of the roof? I think you might find they make a significant difference without being as big as possible.

The bungalow isn't a straight rectangle more like an E shape so the velux will all point in different directions. But will be visible from the front if you see what I mean.
So you think the same size would be better as the light will be impactful anyway?

Yes - it will look much better if they are a consistent size. Maybe re think the lighting too. Is there anywhere near you with velux windows you could go and have a look at?

I agree - go for a consistent size. I don't think they need to be as big as possible to make a huge impact.

If the room was particularly large, I'd be tempted to go for, say, 2 of the same size as the rest rather than one big one.
